Lord of the Rings Fanart!

After I opened a poll [link] asking which LOTR scenes are your favorites, I have decided to now start on this supposed personal project of mine which is to draw as many Lord of the Rings scenes as possible. As I have mentioned, I have been greatly inspired by the Topps trading card artworks, so likewise, expect a future Star Wars series too ^^ (especially right after I get the boxed dvd set of the original trilogy from my aunt heehee)

So this is Gandalf and Frodo infront of the gates. I had a hard time with the background again. Particularly with the colors, applying textures and shading (shading is one of my weakest points I think). Again, I used one of *resurgere 's textures.

My favorite part to draw was the design on the door itself because my vision was to try and keep the designs as simple as possible. (Yes, I know the most important part was the writing on top, but I had to omit that. Haha. Just imagine it's still there) because it will be too crowded.

I'm still browsing through everyone's comments on the poll (thanks for the overwhelming response!). However, I have already sketched the Arwen Aragorn scene on the bridge so that MAY be my next drawing. Watch out for that!
