TYPHOON ONDOY: YOU CAN HELP

Hi artists and lovers of the arts!

Currently my country has been devasted by a typhoon and based on current news, there's one about to come again by Saturday.

There have been relief operations all over the city and volunteer turnout has been amazing but we lack donations and we need more financial support.

I'm helping efforts using my own skills. I draw, you pay, I give everything you pay me to the victims. All proceeds from commissioned artworks until the end of the month will go to the victims. That's a promise.

A little goes a really really long way. Please read my journal for more information. [link]

Really praying for you support on this one

Love, Sheena

ABOUT THE DRAWING

I was asked to submit an illustration for START HERE a group my friend started. They showcase artworks for the benefit of the victims of Typhoon Ondoy. Decided to draw a scene from one of the many relief operations in the country because it is a true testimony of the 'bayanihan' spirit. This is at CCF (Christ's Commission Fellowship) where I've been helping since Monday! We pack relief goods. It's super fun!

The Filipinos are definitely worth it all.

PS. Find the hidden me! Clue: [link] hahaha!

I'm sorry if I'm too late, but I haven't been much of a person who looks for these kinds of things (I try to stay out of depressing stuff).

However, it must have been hard to rebuild. My family is planning on praying for relief and protection since the part of the world you live is subjected to storms like that. I'm not being mean, but I know it's gotta be hard on you. I have family back in New Jersey (I live in Washington state) getting hit with lots of snow this winter. I still wonder if my Grandma can budge the door open. (I worry that the snow has risen over 6 feet)
